Portuguese Presence in Metro Atlanta

The main objective for creating this map was to present local establishments that speak Portuguese within the Atlanta Metropolitan area.

The information gathered on this map was collected during the Summer of 2018, using the zip codes with the largest concentration of Lusophone speakers according to the 2010 Census.

For each zip code, the main collection was achieved through the visual inspection of the local establishments in and around the major north-south and east-west roads. The secondary collection of data was obtained through interviews conducted at these establishments and their recommendations of other establishments that speak Portuguese. By no means is this an exhaustive study.
